Ben-wa balls cannot, I repeat cannot set off shop anti-theft or security systems. Absolute hogwash whoever told you that. Shop anti-theft systems all use some form of RFID technology and there is no such RFID trigger componentry or tag in Ben-wa balls. The metallic quality of Ben-wa balls (and indeed any other metallic items - coins, jewelry) will not set off such systems. On the other hand if you wore Ben-wa balls through the security system at an airport (which /is/ just looking for concealed metallic objects) it will almost certainly set the system off and um.. you'll have an interesting time with the airport security folk.

Based on what I know about basic female anatomy and from my own experience in this personal journey, the ball getting way up inside for 1/2 hr. is not unusual. When your muscles started to relax their grip, the ball starts coming back down (gravity!).
