Lynne Connolly's erotic novella Sunshine on Chrome brings that common fantasy to life.

Lacey Rezanov's vision, dedication and business savvy have helped make her beauty products company wildly successful. Ten years divorced from her controlling husband, she's practically married to her work. Consultant Verill Harper might be her junior by a decade, but that doesn't stop him from admiring her intelligence and competence, not to mention her sophisticated style and ample curves.  As soon as his contractual obligations to Rezanov Cosmetics have been fulfilled, Verill moves to make Lacey aware of his interest. At first she rebuffs him, despite her answering attraction, but when he rescues her from a potential rapist, she can't resist Verill's charms or her own desires. Their fevered  lovemaking sweeps away all objections.

Verill is on the verge of leaving on a round-the-world motorcycle trip to raise funds for charity.  Convinced that his connection with Lacey goes beyond sex, he tries to convince her to join him, but Lacey doesn't dare let herself believe that their passion could be more than a wild fling. It takes a scandal and a cruel separation to change her mind.

Sunshine on Chrome combines appealing characters and explicit, uninhibited sex with the satisfaction of a happily ever after ending. I particularly enjoyed the erotic tension in the central photo shoot scene,  with its tantalizing hints of a ménage to come - even though a full three way interaction never actually materializes. Ms. Connolly's decision to name her gorgeous, masculine, potent hero  "Verill" gave me a bit of a chuckle, but he's sincere enough that you have to take him seriously. Fans of "cougar" romance will definitely enjoy Sunshine on Chrome.
